Hunter College

Creative Writing Program

Graduated with a 4.0 in English concentration in Creative Writing because writing, and particularly poetry, is my passion. I love to write and getting the chance to share my work and have others give feedback makes my work better. Getting to read my work with music playing helps me feel like a legit performer and artist. It helps fill the empty air. I hope you enjoy my special poetry readings sessions below and my old performance above. Stay tuned for more video content from Shamima’s Writing Corner!

Quote That Inspires Me

Allen Ginsberg

“To gain your own voice, you have to forget about having it heard.”
